Product Marketing Manager - Manchester - £75,000 to £100,000 per year

The Opportunity: The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving the development of the long-term product strategy for our client's fuel pricing suite of software applications and services, including defining product vision, the market needs, and building and managing the business cases to support investment. This will involve working in collaboration with their Product Development, Client Services, Sales and Marketing teams; reporting to the Managing Director with a dotted line to the CTO and the product development teams.

Skills and Experience:

10 to 15 years professional experience in Software Product Strategy and Strategy Execution with 5 years leadership experience in these areas

Specific experience in Software Product Strategy and Strategy Execution

Track record of successful product delivery to the market, with a strong business acumen - including product management and development, finance and operations

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across different functional areas in a matrixed organization across various international geographies

Experience in international markets, including North America, EMEA, Asia-Pac, and South America

Experience in the fuel and/or energy fields, and specifically fuel price management, strongly preferred

Degree qualified, preferably in a technical, business or related field

Role and Responsibilities:

Working closely with the CTO office to build and modify a roadmap that will take the product through entire life cycle from concept, design, development to market launch

Leading cross-functional teams to develop execution roadmaps to ensure the successful definition development and delivery of new products/features and existing product enhancements

Defining strategic marketing capabilities, and developing go-to-market strategy and plans

Providing high-level market and cross-product vision; leading the development of product strategy and execution programs with quantifiable objectives to measure results

Analysing the market and current product performance, identifying and segmenting key customer groups, organizing and facilitating customer advisory sessions, evaluating new and existing opportunities, and industry and technology trends, incorporating these in the product strategy

Conduct marketing studies to determine customer requirements, technology trends and innovations, and competitive information in order to develop a marketing strategy that will incorporate customer requirements with technology and competitive practices

Preparing and presenting recommendations to management on market opportunities, current product performance, future product performance, and investment requirements to facilitate business planning and decision-making; whilst promoting product vision and strategy that aligns business goals, objectives, and expectations
